We had the most wonderful canoeing experience with Mike at Wild Current! His handmade canoe was not only beautiful but also incredibly stable, which made us feel safe and comfortable right from the start. After a quick but thorough demonstration, Mike made sure everyone felt confident before we set off.
The water was smooth and glassy, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Along the way, we enjoyed breathtaking views of a glacier—absolutely stunning! We also took a relaxing break at a quiet beach, where we were treated to delicious pastries from a local baker and warm drinks.

We had the most magical private signature canoe experience at Pyramid Lake Lodge, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Mike! He was incredibly friendly, warm, and knowledgeable — the kind of person who instantly puts you at ease. You could tell he truly loved the area and enjoyed sharing it with others.
The canoe itself was absolutely stunning — a handmade beauty that added so much charm and character to the experience. You could tell it was crafted with care, and it made gliding across the lake feel even more special.
The weather was absolutely perfect, and Mike made the experience even more special with thoughtful touches — binoculars, blankets to sit on, delicious hot chocolate, tea, coffee and sweet treats to enjoy while taking in the beauty around us. It was peaceful, scenic, and just felt like a dream.
Mike really made it memorable with his kind energy and attention to detail. We’re so grateful for the experience — highly recommend it if you’re in Jasper!

A great day out on Pyramid Lake. We battled through a storm, but always felt safe and secure. Mike gave great commentary, made sure we were comfortable and warm and even provided umbrellas for us when the storm came through. We enjoyed a nice afternoon tea on a private beach.

Highly recommend Mike!!! We did a guided canoe trip on Pyramid Lake. Mike is extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and natural surroundings. We loved his sense of humor and personality. 7/5 only because no baby loons ;^) Would gladly go again! Thanks for helping to make our Canadian trip so memorable!

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Mike in Jasper! The location is stunning, the wooden boat is really cute and comfortable and Mike was very friendly and helpful. Mike knows a lot about the wildlife in the area so if you are looking for nice conversation and some soft education this is great for you.
Mike was also incredibly generous to give us heaps of tips about Jasper and the surrounding area and recommended various hikes and lakes to visit that were amazing. I highly recommend!!

The water was so calm and the reflection of Pyramid mountain was beautiful. We learned about loons and the sounds they make to communicate with their partner. It was a peaceful, relaxing and educational activity and to top it all off you have a delicious picnic with hot/cold beverages, fruit and pastries on the canoe! Wow, so cool! I highly recommend this tour as it was such a nice way to start the day!

This experience was incredible!! Mike was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and was prepared with rain jackets, blankets, gloves and anything else you can think of. We stopped halfway at a beach and got some hot drinks and treats making the experience even better. So glad we found this tour and added it to our itinerary!

Wonderful experience on the guided public trip on pyramid lake. Unfortunately we didn't see any spectacular wildlife, Mike made the trip a great experience (he is one of the three founders running WCO). He really thought of everything: blankets for occasional rain, binoculars, cake, fruits, tea, hot chocolate for the brake. Nothing there to improve, he even picked us up from the hotel without us asking first. Would definitely book again and perhaps look at the 3 day adventure they have posted on the website
