Truly a life changing, unforgettable experience with a fantastic crew of (fun!) experts. The location is breathtaking and you really get to experience the bears in an ethical, safe way. We saw two mothers with their babies and will never forget it as long as we live!! I am extremely prone to extreme seasickness and I didn’t feel even the tiniest bit unwell during the entire 8 hours on the water. Highly highly recommend!

Easily the highlight of our 10 days on Vancouver Island! Mattias and Jane were amazing and went the extra mile for us. We saw lots of moms and cubs, whales, and beautiful scenery. Even though it was raining the whole time, the suits kept us fairly dry and we always felt safe. Well worth it!

Worth every penny!!!
This is the first tour we took on this vacation. The vacation hadn't started out great (including a 6 hour ferry wait, leading to us only having 2 hours of sleep the night before the tour). But things took a turn for the better when we got to this tour! I was concerned because it was raining our whole 2 hour drive to the tour location. i was so happy to see that the boat had indoor cabins for us to ride in since it was so cold and rainy. The weather ended up clearing up for the most part, but even with it lightly raining, we were able to get great pictures from the deck of the boat. So don't let rain lead you to cancelling this tour! The tour guides (boat captain and naturalist) were great. They were very entertaining, did everything they could to get us the best views of the grizzlies and taught us alot about grizzlies and many other critters throughout the journey. We saw sea otters, a humpback and many grizzlies. We got to see a mom and her 2 tiny little cubs, 2 bears mating and a few other grizzlies as well. The tour company has info cards on each of the bears as well, so it was fun to learn how some were related to one another and just their overall life stories. The lunch provided was great too! Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Absolutely fantastic Grizzly Bear tour today. We saw 8 different Grizzly Bears including a mother and her two cubs. It was also very informative with both our hosts educating us on how the Grizzly Bears live, what they eat and so much more. We also had breakfast, lunch and beverages provided. I highly recommend this tour.

This trip is 100% worth it. We were looked after brilliantly from the coffee for the early checkin through lunch and all the way back. Highly recommended, a fantastic opportunity to see wildlife. Not just bears as we were lucky enough to see seals, eagles, a sea otter, even a whale. Our guide, Vanessa, and Captain, Jean-Luc, were incredibly knowledgeable and cared a lot for the wildlife which was great to see. If you get the chance, do this tour.
(They even handled vegan and gluten free at all stages for snacks and food which was a nice addition)

I had a really wonderful special day taking this tour, but also had to alter my expectations once I realized better what to expect. The drive to Knight Inlet was just wonderful and the early morning lighting was fantastic. It does take two hours but I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching everything from the back of the boat and learning interesting things from the naturalist (although it's hard to hear if you end up in the back seats inside since the boat is quite loud - tip: Next time, I would bring earplugs to put in at times to reduce that noise over the course of the 8 hours because it was really a lot for that many hours). We were able to watch a mama black bear for a bit on the coast as she meandered around and that was really wonderful. What I didn't understand fully was that the area where they take you to see the grizzlies is a bay where you dock your ship, stop for an hour to eat your packed lunch and then get on river skiffs only to go on them for about five minutes as you cross a very short distance. Then you park near the sand and have one hour to view any bears that might be in that one area feeding. I had been under the impression the bear viewing was going to entail a longer time going up river on the skiffs instead of just parking them (again five minutes from where you dock the boat) and waiting for an hour in one spot. Once I reset my expectation about this aspect I enjoyed looking at the scenery and a beautiful bald eagle that was sitting in the mud close to us. We weren't lucky enough to have any bears that you could see with the naked eye (you could barely make out a mama/younger one way back using binoculars). Once we got back on the boat you could tell many of us were feeling a little discouraged but we did see some amazing marine life on the return trip back. A huge pod of very fast moving Pacific White-Sided dolphins, a small group slowly swimming, Orcas and a Humpback whale. Our captain and Naturalist tried really hard to find those and give us time to enjoy them which was wonderful. So overall if viewing this as a full day of marine life/scenery with perhaps a bear if you're lucky tour....it was a magical day. I think they might do better to market it more like that rather than focusing on the grizzly bears since this is one hour of the entire time and in such a limited way that you'd really have to be lucky to have them in that one area right during your hour of viewing time. They did offer us a no-bear certificate which we can use to come on another trip which was very nice and I appreciated it. I'm hoping to try again in the Spring when it sounds like they might be more active feeding on the sedge grass in that area and I will now know what to expect and approach it as only one little aspect of the day and what I might see.

This tour was fantastic! Our naturalist was educated, well-spoken and friendly. Our captain was professional, competent and friendly. We saw 3 grizzlies, a pod of 3 orcas (what a bonus!), and lots of sea lions and porpoises. Highly recommend, must-do excursion in an absolutely stunningly beautiful spot. The full day was money well spent.
