I stumbled across this shop while doing research on Oru Kayaks. From the moment I walked into the store, until I left with my new Oru, Sarah was a great help. She was open and honest about owner experiences and feedback, and more importantly, helped make the choice between the Bay ST and Coast XT that much easier. They carry the Oru folding origami kayaks. I rarely used my hardshell since it was so heavy and cumbersome, but these kayaks can fit into the trunk of a sedan, and setup only takes about 5 minutes. You can also carry the kayak to locations that would be difficult to access with a hardshell. I am a happy paddler now!

I ordered my Perception Sound 10.5 online on Wednesday night, called Thursday morning to see if the order went through, unfortunately the color I ordered wasn't actually in stock but Bella applied my payment to the last Sound they had in stock, I picked it up Thursday afternoon.
The service was amazing. Bella came outside with me to give me tips on the best practices for mounting the kayak on my roof rack (I'm a total novice to hard-shelled kayaks so really appreciated her suggestions).
I haven't had a chance to get it on the water as yet but I'm sure it will be a huge step up from my previous folding kayak.
Huge thank you to Bella and the team at Complete Paddler for getting me out on the water!!!

I went to this store as someone who’s never touched a kayak but I had one in mind. The staff was incredible; very knowledgeable, patient and willing to answer questions. They even helped me figure out a rack system for my car. I bought the kayak that day and returned a few days later (with a rack) to pick it up.
When I went to pick it up again the staff was fantastic, helped me load my new kayak onto my roof racks, showed me strapping techniques and gave me great tips on how to load/unload by myself and safely transport it.
I’ve been here a few more times since and I’ve always a pleasant experience. Can’t recommend them enough.

Outstanding experience! I went into the store to look for a fishing kayak. I knew the model I was interested in and wanted to size it up in person. The staff was over and above! They let me sit in it to get a feel for it. They provided ample knowledge and answered all my many questions. This was my first kayak purchase, and they put me at ease. The experience was seemless. Everything from a paddle, pfd, and safety equipment to the accessories I wanted. They also assisted with the roof tie downs as well as getting it mounted on the car. I'm now the Proud new owner of a 10' Catch Classic and can't say enough of how helpful and pleasant all the staff are.(Unfortunately, in my excitement, I have forgotten their names). You will be in good hands. When the time comes, I know where I'll be purchasing my next kayak. Well worth the drive from Hamilton. Now impatiently waiting for the ice to melt.

About 12 years ago I purchased a Pungo 120 kayak and the necessary equipment from The Complete Paddler. I have been very pleased with my decision which was based on discussions with the sales staff.
Over the years I have relied upon TCP for additional items.
This past year I became aware that my Wilderness seat had developed a number of cracks cause by me leaning back when entering and exiting the kayak with the Dashboard in place. I contacted TCP and was advised by Bella, the manager, that a replacement seat was available. She ordered a seat and after numerous follow ups by Bella it was determined that it was lost in transit . This was not a problem for me, because it was now the winter season. Bella placed another order and this time the wrong part was sent. Kelly the owner and Bella told me not to worry and another order was placed. I appreciated their tenacity., because this time there was success.
As a result, it was necessary for me to attend at TCP's new premises to have the seat installed. I marvelled at the bright and cheerful showroom. I very much appreciate the effort, patience and tenacity of Kelly and Bella in getting my kayak ready for another season.
Based upon my experience with TCP over the past 12 years, if you are looking to purchase anything in the paddle field, TCP is the place.

Bought a kayak here about 2 months ago. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I went to the other kayak store down the road and came right back. What a difference staff can make. Love kayaking and will be back when I feel like upgrading.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff , we got 2 kayaks in February, they stored them until we were able to pick them up end of March. Great help to put them up on the kayak racks on the car , as we didn't have any experience to tie and secure them up. Very patient to explain the steps to learn how to do that at later date when needed.
Great selection for all you need for paddling , they also offer courses for water sports, we will go for kayak rescue course in April.
