i love this place. its so peaceful on the water~ even on busy days. seeing various birds and aquatic life is lovely and the staff are friendly. the price is descent, the ice cream servings are great and if you let them know its your first time, they’ll give you some guidance on the dos and donts. i can’t believe some of the nonsense reviews, when i go to river canard- i never want to leave.

Went with a bunch of friends to try this place out. We had a really fun time. The staff were really nice and helped us out. It was kind of a hot day but still had fun. Lots of area to paddle or kayak around. Do check this place out.

Their prices are reasonable and all the equipment is safe and clean. Kayaking was a lot of fun. It takes some effort and your hands and arms will hurt but it's fun. The river is also cleaner than it looks.

Awesome service by the staff. Spent 4 great hours on the river.
Got to see the Bald Eagle and its nest, some fish, Tortoise, Herons, Geese and lot of other birds. Will definitely go back multiple times again.

If being frugal is more important than comfort, then this place is for you! The price is definetly right, 2 hours of SUP for $30. The staff was friendly, we did have to park in the church parking lot as they were very busy that day - no big deal.
The issue I have here is the state of the equipment and the instruction. I have been paddle boarding at a few different establishments in Windsor Essex, so it's very easy to make a comparison. We were instructed to grab a paddle and a life jacket. When asking the employee to adjust the paddle for our individual heights, we were told to just switch the paddles around. All of the paddles were taped with what looked like electrical tape, so I'm assuming they are all broken in some way. The boards were in pretty rough shape as well.
While the employees were very nice young men, there was no instruction for the first time paddlers. We had realized some of our group weren't even positioned properly on the boards.
The area was very beautiful. A bit of wild life, quiet waters, beautiful nature.
I think with a few upgrades this could be a wonderful place to enjoy time with friends, family & nature!!!!
ETA:. The "sarcastic" remark that I left on the PEACE FOUNTAIN is that it was looking mighty beautiful this year ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ANYWAYS
