The Parc Nautique De Richmond offers a range of experiences for canoe and kayak enthusiasts, with a focus on the beauty of the St-François River. However, customer reviews reveal a mixed bag of experiences. While many enjoy the natural beauty and serenity of the river, there are concerns regarding organization and staff professionalism.
Several reviewers highlighted the lack of organization and the need for better staffing. For instance, one review indicated that despite multiple calls, the staff still misjudged the number of kayaks needed, leading to frustration among the group. Another review echoed this sentiment, stating that paying clients should not be expected to perform most of the manual labor associated with setting up and packing away equipment.
Nevertheless, many guests praised the tranquility of the river and the opportunities for wildlife observation, with sightings of eagles, herons, and even otters noted during their trips. Users also appreciated the clear and warm water, which enhanced their experience on the river.

- Many found the pricing to be reasonable for the services offered.
- Positive feedback on the ease of access at the beginning of the trips.

The ride on the river is a nice activity for the afternoon. The staff are highly unorganized and unprofessional. Mistook how many kayaks we needed even though I called 4 times. Our guide seemed untrained on how to handle it when one of our members fell in. She didn’t have a phone if anything urgent had happened. At the end we were asked to carry up our boats and all equipment up a steep slippery hill , then asked to organize and prepare it all for them. We were then asked to do it for the next group too! We waited for 45 minutes for the van to pick us up after the trip. You’re doing everyone on your own anyway so don’t bother with a guide.

A bit unorganized…slow start….not enough staff. We had to bring the canoes and kayaks up a steep hill then help the 2 female staff place all the equipment and boats on the trailer, then remove all of them and all the. paddles etc and put them in their “garage”. I don’t know how they could ever handle a group of seniors and expect them to do what we had to do today. I don’t think a paying client should do most of their work….just my opinion. River was low today and got stuck in several places…but as far as the beauty of the river and surrounding trees, that was not disappointing……
