Charming and a throwback to the early days. A public place where you can rent kayaks and canoes at an hourly rate. Excellent staff and an easy entry to Lake Massawippi from the river. Lots of public parking and places to enjoy afterwards or take the bicycle path home.

An ideal place to relax along the Massawippi Lake with beautiful views in a small village in Quebec well known to tourists. If you haven't already visited I highly recommend a visit.

Had a late afternoon lunch at Pilsen pub. Speedy, friendly service. Best grilled cheese sandwich ever. Fries with unique spices were awesome.

We had our own kayak and wanted to rent 2 more. They asked us 10$ to wash each of our own kayaks even if thet are cleaner than theirs. They convinced me to buy 2 more and to drop elsewhere.

1. Terrible place to bring your own stand up paddle board or kayak etc especially
for a multiple day stay in north Hatley
- marina wants $5 each day to launch a stand up paddle board , canoe , kayak into a weedy corner of the marina .... not allowed to use launch .!!!
Canât take your sup to the paid public beach either... so no sup / beach day possible at North Hatley ... go to Ayers Cliff etc
I fully understand the zebra mussel control approach ,$10 per board for a wash & 48 hr permit but totally not necessary to keep charging $5 everyday to launch fees for non trailered craft .
No one is assisting me with a trailer , maintaining a launch area for me ... huge money grab , never seen before anywhere else in Canada.
Also the wash station is to sit your board etc on an ancient wooden thing buried in the road For a good quality inflatable paddle board this was less than ideal and the staff didnât see an issue when I tried to explain . A 500 psi pressure washer on an inflatable paddle board is also a definite void of any manufacturers warranty . The marina staff kept the wand far enough away from the isup to just mist it essentially.I had tried explaining to the staff that pressure washers can do lots of damage if the nozzle gets too close to seams etc ... they had no clue what I was referring to .
Public launch at Ayers Cliff on Massawippi apparently doesnât charge to launch sups , kayaks, canoes
They also will extend your zebra permit for $5 for another 48 hrs . This was not offered to me at North Hatley marina. Inconsistent between the 2 municipalities on the same lake .
Police patrol boat roams around the lake checking your zebra permit and wash status ...$200 fine apparently if you have no current permit.
