Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Natural Sports is my go-to fishing store in the Waterloo Region. The customer service here is unmatched — friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about fishing.
On a regular basis, particularly; Cole, Matt B, and Don (and other staff) are absolutely fantastic. They have legit on-the-water experience from local lakes, rivers and further places like North of Thunder Bay, which makes their advice super valuable.
What really impressed me was how they helped me choose between two very similar reels and rods. They took the time to walk me through the pros and cons, gave me honest feedback based on actual use and even offered great suggestions I hadn’t even considered! I left the store feeling satisfied about my purchase having the advice.
Whether you’re shopping on a budget or going all out, they’ll help you get exactly what you need without any pressure.
To top it all off, they even tied on a leader to my braided line when spooling my reel — a small touch that shows just how much they care.

I’m pretty new to fishing, and every time I’ve been to Natural Sports, the staff have been super friendly and helpful. They’ve never talked down to me or made me feel dumb for not knowing stuff...they just meet me at my level and give great advice.
They’ve helped me figure out what tackle to use in different situations, and even put braided line on a couple of used reels I brought in. Prices are solid, and the selection of bait is way better than anywhere else I’ve checked out.
Really glad this place is in Kitchener. Highly recommend it, especially if you’re just getting into fishing.

Very Knowledgeable, and not condescending to beginners! My wife and I recently decided to take up fly fishing together and are learning, so it was really nice of Matt "Diablo" to take the time and help us understand some of the nuances of the local fishing fare.
He gave us sound advice as he himself has been fly fishing for many years, locally.

This review has been long overdue. I’ve been shopping at Natural Sports for 10 years now if not more. John and his team are absolutely amazing. The most knowledgable people I’ve ever dealt with and most of all honest.
Shopped at the big box stores in the past and would never buy so much as a hook from them anymore because nobody in those stores knows what they’re talking about.
John goes above and beyond to help in every way he can.
