First of all we had a wonderful canoe trip in mid September. The weather on our first day was quite bad but together with Christie we decided that it was best to start the next day and come back a day later at no extra cost. Also our rented equipment and our canoe were in great condition.
Therefore pricing is very fair and reasonable. Christie is very caring and accommodating. We saw a black bear close to Beaver Lake which was awesome!

They were very organized and as promised would always respond to me emails. The trip around Powell Lake Canoe / Portaging route was made very easy and in pairing with Sasquatch rentals was an excellent trip. They provided everything promised and we're really great about providing us with the necessary details to have a great trip. I would without a doubt tell people to rent from them if they were to ever go and do this trip. The canoes that were rented to us we're really great and we had no issues. Easy 5 stars.

Christie at Mitchell's provided a first class experience. Her knowledge of the area is unmatched, and her cheery and friendly demeanor made the trip easy and fun.
Canoes and other equipment were in excellent condition.
On time and efficient, she got us on the water with minimal fuss and picked us up at the end without delay.
The Powell River lake route is amazing back country, quiet and beautiful.
I would not hesitate to recommend Mitchell's to anyone and everyone.

Thank you Mitchell's for the great equipment and service! My friends and I especially appreciated the pricing and flexibility (we had to add some rentals last-minute, and Christie got back to us very promptly), and Chad was friendly and helpful with getting us dropped off and set up. I would highly recommend Mitchell's, and Sasquatch Trails - it was a completely stress-free rental experience for our group.

Overall a good place to use. Pick up was simple and easy for me (my gf was a little worried about putting a kayak on the roof), foam blocks worked great and I strapped it down with my own strap rather than those provided. Had someone there to help me load it and everything.
Return was also rather simple, but alas no one was available to help me unload it, but I managed. Cleaning station is helpful for returns and all that. Just maybe check that your trailer hitch doesn't hit in the driveway if you have one, as the entrance is steep. Lots of room to turn around tho.
Just wish there was more in depth info about where all to go for kayaking or SUP. They provided a place or two but would have liked to know more options and a more in depth information on a few things like roads types or best spots to launch from, or possible hazards on certain bodies of water. A little attachment booklet to the bookings with detailed info would be great !
All in all tho was happy with the service, equipment, and pick up/drop off. I'd use them again when I come back this way.

Christie was incredibly helpful as she guided us first-time canoe renters to all the things we needed (though she did not over-sell). The gear was high-quality and we had zero issues. Christie's website was also helpful as we learned how to portage. Our canoe adventure was smooth and enjoyable thanks to Mitchell's!

We had an amazing trip, and the rental process and Christie's service was top notch.
Note, if you are from the US (or anywhere outside Canada I guess) make sure your bank can handle an authorization and a charge in CAD (Canadian Dollars). Mine couldn't - but again Christie was very patient as I got that sorted out.
If/When we head up to Powell River for the Canoe Trail, we'll definitely be renting from Mitchell's Canoe
