Excellent location for a nice little camp out. Both cottages my family seen were clean, and tidy. The owners Henry, and Wendy are fantastic people. So friendly and welcoming. I was only here for a day visit while my family was spending time here, but i thoroughly enjoyed the cottage, property and hospitality from the owners.

We decided to spend a week at Lured Away Cottages based on the great reviews I read. And I have to say that everything was amazing. Starting with Wendy and Henry which are wonderful hosts. Great location, close to everything. Fishing, watersports, clean cottages, quality grills, great views from the deck and the list can go on. You can't go wrong!

We were 5 families (friends) altogether who rented 5 out of the 6 cottages - August 28 to September 1, 2021. ||||Loved the stay, can't fault the place at all! Lovely, homely and pet friendly cottages in GREAT surroundings. Wendy and Henry provided brilliant hospitality and was so helpful in every way. ||||The lovely pet friendly cottages were extremely clean and also very well equipped. There is everything you need to cook. ||||Hassle free and comfortable, this is exactly what you need for either business or pleasure, thanks again Wendy and Henry for this great experience at LURED AWAY! We will definitely be back soon!

My blended family of 10 recently stayed at Lured Away Cottages in July 2018 for one week. We had an amazing time and highly recommend this location. It was perfect that each family had the privacy of their own cottages, but the property is cozy enough where we still felt all together. The cottages were well-kept and clean. The riverfront was fantastic with a nice spacious deck for lounging and perfect space to dock our boat and seadoo. Wendy & Henry were so friendly and were very helpful with anything we needed. The location is a brief 5-minute walk to anything you need in town (beer store, bank, LCBO, restaurants). You won’t be disappointed!

The stay was nothing short of excellent. Both Henry and Wendy are wonderful hosts and go over and beyond to make you feel at home and accommodate your requests. The cottage has got a lovely spot right on the edge of the lake and the view is spectacular. A completely hassle free communication. We made the most of the private bbq and fireplace. They've got kayak which make for a great morning row in the lake. Overall an absolutely memorable experience.

Lured Away is a small collection (6) of cottages on the waterfront and surrounding a small common green space. There's also a communal deck over the water although each cottage has its own deck with table, chairs and BBQ. The cottages are all very close together, so if you're looking for complete quiet and privacy this would probably not work for you. It would, however, be perfect get-away location for a larger group of friends and family who rent out all 6 cottages or for sociable individuals or couples.
The owners are great..very friendly and accommodating. The cottages are pretty basic but have everything necessary to be fairly comfortable for a week or so - AC, heating, excellent wifi, cable TV for rainy evenings. Everything is as stated on the website, so I'm rating it based on what they advertise themselves to be.
This resort is also very handy for fishing. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of Hastings village or a short drive to Campbellford for supplies.
Location, views and price cannot be beat.

My mom and I had the pleasure of staying in one of these cottages spring of 2020. It is an absolutely lovely place to stay and relax within walking distance to all of the little stores. Wendy and Henry were wonderful hosts. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

Excellent place for your weekend getaway. Very comfy and cozy. What i like about the place the most was the host. Wendy and Henry (the hosts) are so friendly and all the time at your service. You'd want to sit and talk with them. They make you feel like friends with them. And the amenities and service they provide is just wow. I enjoyed the cottage utmost, you may as well. Moreover, we didn't have to put our pet conures in the hostel for the weekend. They were very welcoming to them as well.
