I work at an ESL centre in Halifax, and my co-worker planned a cultural activity here to give our international students a taste of the Canadian experience. It was my first-ever time to kayak, and it was truly a memorable experience for everyone involved!
We were able to book in advance and they not only sent us all the information promptly, they also helped us register two extra people on the day of without any fuss. The staff were extremely kind and gave us relevant advice to stay safe considering the weather conditions that we were dealing with that day. They recognized that most of us were doing this for the first time, and guided us well and were not condescending at all. They even held our devices at no extra cost. They helped us onto our boats too, and didn't pressure us regarding the time. This is exactly the kind of service that has customers coming back!
The lake itself is beautiful, and their prices were quite reasonable ($17 for a double kayak, and $20 for a single). Perfect for a date, a day out with family, or even a summer day out with a large group of friends. This is a place you would not wanna miss out during the Halifax summer heat!

We had a great time and cant wait to go back! The staff are all super kind, the lake is stunning, the kayaks were easy to use - was a great summer day! I took my 6 year old daughter on an adult single kayak was soo fun! Then after we paddled back we stayed and swam off the rocks right beside the rental stand... the water is really clear and super warm! A perfect day - many thanks Long Lake Adventure Co!

This spot is literally in the middle of our city! On a hot day the lake is the perfect place to be and the breeze on the water is so refreshing. The staff is awesome! Super helpful, accommodating and they go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. This is a must DO all summer! Thanks so much, we will be back.

Amazing experience there! It was our first time try kayaking and that was perfect! Friendly staffs and very helpful when getting on and off the kayak. Definitely recommend friends to visit again.

Beautiful trails, the people were respectful and kept their social distance and all the dogs were on a leash. However, don't be afraid to go off the beaten path a take a stroll in the woods on a path or even walk the beach, it's worth the extra steps and you never know what hidden gems hide within.

Great experience. Booked kayak online and got the kayak at lake while following COVID-19 guidelines. Staff was super friendly and got a quick do’s and don’ts for first time kayakers. It was safe, relaxed and recreational experience overall with Relaxing for a bit at Goat Island.
Will highly recommend to try this at least once in summer.

Wonderful place to kayak or Paddle Board. Spent a few hours on the lake with my husband and dog. When we arrived they were very very friendly and quick to get us in the water. Our dog enjoyed the extra attention he got from the lovely staff. We will certainly be back again!
