The locals who run the yacht club, not to be confused with the Lewisporte Marina guys, are EXTREMELY cliquish. They are constantly locking the door to the kitchen, which has the freezer containing food owned by the people in the boats docked at the marina. If you want access to your own food you have to wait for these people to come back from their own homes, with access to their own food to come and let you in. If you ask why you can't do this they will tell you its because they have their food there. People who travel and use communal kitchens don't steal other peoples food because other people will steal theirs. When confronted about this they complained that "foreign sailors were taking over the place" because they had the audacity to want access to their own food. Why go to a place when people don't want you there and treat you like a thief?!
