Thank you to Alister and Alex for making my visit to the Bay an enjoyable, dare I say relaxing (given all the paddling) experience. Thanks also to Gina for the fantastic snacks. A very professional group and an enjoyable day out. I will be recommending and returning for more kayaking on the bay.
Oh and do not skip the talk on the tides, you will definitely learn something new

Fun to kayak from Alma (pretty fishing village) with Kayak Fundy. Amanda expertly guided us down the Fundy national park coast, told us some of the local folklore and exactly why the Bay of Fundy has the biggest tides in the world. Also great muffins and cookies!

We went on the Search for Matthew's Head tour on a sunny Sunday morning. The hour before we got on the water we learned about the kayaks, paddling and the gear as well as where we would be travelling. We did the high to low tide trip so we put in right outside the building. The waters were very rough with large swells. It was very hard work. My partner in my tandem kayak was my 8 year old daughter. She did well, but if you going with a younger child be prepared to do most of the work! We didn't quite make Matthew's Head and stopped at Herring beach instead. Which was fine with our entire group (almost half children under 12 yrs old). Snack was great. The guides were outstanding. The tour was super well organized and they knew exactly what to do to support our group and get us safely back in as the waves continued to get higher. All four of us loved the experience despite how challenging it was! Highly recommend this company. And highly recommend the experience (just know that it may not be a leisurely paddle!).

The day before the tour I booked by phone a tour called Matthew's Head Tour for eleven people being clear that we were two family groups with teenagers. The day of the tour we were informed that it was going to be the Molly Kool tour. When we were on the water, due to poor weather conditions at the bay, they proposed instead a estuary tour which we accepted.

This final tour resulted in 2 loops inside the estuary and a short trip (around 600 mts) up the river with a stop to eat really delicious cookies.

Yes, it was fun, but compared to the price and expectation it was overpriced (even after the slight reduction to the initial price).

My tecommendation to the operator: check the conditions at the bay before going into the water. You can do it either visually or sending someone in a kayak previously.
