My mother and I rented paddleboards for a couple hours off of Dean on a very windy day. My ma has some balance issues and because of that Dean actually recommended that we only rented one and that we stick to a little lagoon. Moral of the story, these people were willing to lose money to provide us with a better time and I will happily throw money at them again in the future.

The service is superb. The owner explained with a lot of details what we needed to know to use the paddle board for the first time. The prices are very affordable. The business is located at 1.5 blocks from the beach/ lake.We totally recommend the experience.

We rented kayaks from Kaslo Kayaking today and it was a great experience. The kayaks were all ready to go when we arrived, and the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back! The kayak route they suggested was just beautiful with at least a few little beaches to swim and have lunch. Awesome day trip! Thanks again!

We had a fantastic experience with Kaslo Kayaking in the summer of 2023. Our family of 5 rented a canoe for a 3 day backcountry trip. Daphne was helpful in recommending the size and model we needed. We had calm waters for most of the trip but even when it got rougher we were very confident with the quality of the canoe, and it performed well in the chop. Drop off and pickup was right on time at the boat launch and service was excellent. We are renting from Kaslo Kayaking again this summer.

Had a great experience renting a kayak here. Dean is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and took a lot of time going over technique and safety procedures. The equipment is top notch and the rental includes everything you would need in case something goes wrong. Prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend them for anyone looking to get out on Kootenay Lake (which you absolutely must do if you are visiting Kaslo!).

We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking lessons from Dean at Kaslo Kayaking. He tailored his lesson to our individual situation (over 60yrs, interested in possibly purchasing a kayak, low key shoreline outings in the future). He was generous with information and encouraging out on the water during the paddling session. He clearly has abundant knowledge and skill and teaches at a much advanced level as well. Dean was friendly and very pleasant to spend time with. We highly recommend Kaslo Kayaking!
