What an epic experience! just ONE of the items along the way would have been great but it was ALL of them: epic sunset, coastal views, full moon, amazing waters! THX Jericho Beach Kayak Centre for allowing us to have a great way to enjoy our beautiful outdoors and the magic of nature!!

Tomo, our guide was friendly and professional and even shared some FYIs of the things we were seeing along the way !

Registration was easy, they had equipment/gear for all ages, sizes and and abilities and provided clear and easy instructions.
Good for all abilities BUT we did end up paddling 11ish kms so note that it is 2.5 hrs of being on the water.

HIGHLY recommend this!!

Took my Level 2 Skills with Mike in preparation for a long trip this summer. We did 2 days at Jericho working on skills and a 3 day trip on Howe Sound. Mike was a nice guy and a great instructor. He really took the time to make sure we were able to confidently demonstrate all the necessary skills in class 2 conditions. Seemed genuinely excited about getting to share his passion for kayaking with everyone on the course. Highly recommend, I feel way more confident for my upcoming trip and excited to learn more.

I recently took a kayak lesson and it exceeded all expectations! The instructor was highly skilled, patient, and very clear in their guidance. They made safety a priority while still keeping the experience relaxed and fun.
I appreciated how well the session was structured — I left feeling confident and excited to continue kayaking. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to learn or improve their skills on the water!

I joined the Women on Water event on Tuesday evening and had a great time. The staff at Jericho Kayak were all really friendly and welcoming, and ready to offer help to people who are newer to kayaking. I have some kayak experience but haven't been on the water in a year, and I was amazed how far we went. I didn't find it a chill paddle though! We were really going for it the whole time and I was exhausted when I got back, so I think a good base level of fitness is good to have. I'll definitely do it again over the summer, the other women were a great bunch!

My friends and I booked a private group kayak tour and had a blast. The tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. Many in our group had little to no experience but felt well supported by our guides. We were very impressed with the accommodation and flexibility offered to us. I would definitely book again and recommend it to others.

I've participated in their Pride Paddle two years in a row. Previously I had never kayaked (some canoeing). I was amazed at how accessible it was to just get in a kayak and go out to sea with friends! The instructors were super kind and knowledgeable, and it was an amazing experience to be so close to the water in a space specifically made for queer and trans people.

My husband and I did a Jericho Explorer Kayak Tour with Philip and it was great! We really enjoyed seeing Vancouver from the water and we learned a lot that we did not know before, such as why some of the beaches are named what they are and how far into the water Spanish Banks really is. He even gave me some tips on paddling since I'd mentioned I'd been struggling learning proper paddling technique. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see Vancouver from a different perspective.

Beautiful location. Don't offer an hour outing, just two hour minimum and aren't flexible not that. Was told it I because it can be hard to manage during busy times - so hire more staff... Not everyone wants to spend two hours in a kayak.

They required some sort of certificate to prove I am cable of operating a kayak. Not sure if it is aw or policy, but they did offer a convertible kayak. No biggy as it essentially a similar form factor but being plastic, it likely has less displacement. Got a sense the manager was giving me some attitude as he said I am the manager there so that's the way it is, but never argued, just said policy is policy. Not from here, just trying to understand. The only problem I had was minimum two hours and payment. Went to pay, and was told they don't take cash. Who doesn't take cash? Wasted my time and walked away. Come on folks.
