I would highly recommend the two hour paddle along the calm and pristine Beaver River. We saw plenty of wildlife and enjoyed the scenery so much. We had such an enjoyable and memorable experience. The customer service was excellent, the shuttle service is great, and we felt well equipped for our excursion. Can’t wait to return for the five hour paddle!

Excellent experience with our rentals and shuttle to the Beaver River for a family outing. Friendly staff and great equipment rentals. They have a small onsite parking lot there. Great little spot!
It’s not a guided experience, which was good for us as I’ve paddled that river before but for those who are first time in a canoe you may want to ask for a few minutes to go over different strokes to help you navigate better.

We spent the August long weekend up in the Kimberley area with family and we were looking for things to do to fill our day. We found Free Spirit Tours and thought we’d try them out. It was great!! The price was reasonable, the staff were extremely friendly, the Beaver river was very easy to navigate. All in all, it was a great time! Would definitely recommend the one hour tour for anyone regardless of age or ability. There are longer tours for more avid paddlers.

Absolutely calm and peaceful and we enjoyed kayaking in the beaver river. Free spirit tours makes it so enjoyable. They will shuttle you and kayak upstream and then you just kayak back to your car. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. Equipment were in great condition. Changes were also reasonable too. Recommend them with Five stars.

For my brother’s bachelor party, Free Spirit Tours created this Amazing Race-style event for our group of 10 guys. Jennie and Jason organized check points throughout Blue Mountain Village and we had to solve clues or do challenges as small teams. It was very exciting competing against each other and we had soooo much fun! It was the highlight of the weekend!!!! I don’t think this event is posted on their website, but if you have any large group gatherings in the area, you MUST ask Jennie about it. Thank you so much for this amazing memory Jennie!

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We did the 2-hour tour, and the river was calm. We really enjoyed the scenery. I would have liked more rapids or flow to make it more fun, but overall, we did like the experience. I recommend that they show you how to adjust your kayak for your feet to keep your balance better. The staff did not take the time to set up the equipment for any of us, most likely all beginners. We might come back for the 5 hours next time. The bugs weren't too bad, but you might want to bring some bug spray just in case.

I did the two hour paddle with my boyfriend. The whole process was very enjoyable. We were shuttled up to our access point to start our two hour journey. The river is very serene and peaceful.
Do be aware that citronella is not an effective enough bug repellent - I would recommend wearing long baggy-ish pants and a long top as well. We were swarmed by flies and mosquitoes during our two hour paddle.
If you come prepared it will likely be more enjoyable. Will definitely be trying this again in the near future.

The ticket gives access to 4kms one way on this calm beaver river! Very scenic! People feel the price is more but it makes sense for the path it takes you through in the river and the quality of their kayaks is great. I definitely suggest people to take this chance and enjoy the scenery! Many animals and birds spotted!
