It was my first time doing kayak and it was an incredible experience.
Staff was very helpful and professional. Must have a reservation before going but, you can do it online or on-site(which I did, the day before). I recommend making the reservation with time because spaces do fill up quick on sunny days.
My reservation was in the morning which I didn’t liked at first, but ended up being better since the sun started to burn me a little bit after about 90 mins. So I definitely recommend doing it in the morning if you have sensitive skin or wear long sleeve.
I rented the kayak for 2 hrs and it was the exact amount of time I need to go to Granville Island and back, taking my time to make stops.
For me the price is totally worth the experience and I would say it’s a must try activity in Vancouver.

Was my first time kayaking in Vancouver and the experience was amazing. You have to book online and use a mask while on the dock. The staff is really friendly and they explain all you need to know to stay safe, that's why they don't recommend go beyond Burrad bridge. This is an awesome way to explore the city doing something different and fun.

My fiancé and I have been avid members of Creekside Kayaks for three fantastic seasons now, and it's been an absolute blast!
First and foremost, the staff is simply outstanding. They're not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly smart and efficient. They take care of us from the moment we arrive, making sure we have everything we need for a safe and enjoyable kayaking experience. The kayaks are well-maintained and a breeze to use, and the life jackets they provide are super easy to wear.
One of the things we love most about kayaking at False Creek is the chill atmosphere that allows us to reconnect with ourselves and the water. The location is a piece of paradise within the city. And speaking of which, it's super easy to get to, making our kayaking adventures even more convenient.
The scenery is just amazing! We get to see all sorts of wildlife, like cormorants, sea gulls, and if we're lucky, even some sea lions. While there are various water activities around, including water ferries and yachts, the water is remarkably calm, making it a breeze to navigate through.
The two-hour rental per session is perfect. It gives us plenty of time to soak in the beautiful surroundings and make the most of our day on the water. And what's even better is that after just five sessions, the pass practically pays for itself – can't beat that!
All in all, kayaking at Creekside Kayaks has become an annual tradition we eagerly look forward to each season. It's an excellent way to spend the summer in the city.

The guy who was pushing our kayaks into the water didn’t get it right
Soon he pushed my brother’s kayak in water it flipped and luckily my brother knew how to swim so he got to the dock. No towel or even a sorry was given to him by staff.
It would have been terrible experience if my brother didn’t knew how to swim

Great way to get out and see the city from a different view. If you are a little bit bigger than than normal the single kayak might not work for you. I barely fit in and it was difficult for me to get comfortable. 8ts not the fault of creekside but would be helpful for us that are bigger to take something else out for access on the water. Cost is very reasonable and easy to do online.
