I spent a weekend at Ciel et Bois for a wellness getaway with friends, and it was such a sweet winter escape from the day-to-day city living. The convenience of having it be 20-30 minutes of travel time made it easy to drop in and get comfortable. The lodge is gorgeous, spacious and well equipped. The property has so much to offer. We took advantage of the sauna, kitchen, and games. The additional workshop room was perfect for me to host a yoga class, we loved the heated floors, fireside feels and windows that connected us to nature even while we were inside. We also went cross country skiing, only 7 minutes away from the lodge. It was a specular weekend, and felt right at home at Ciel et Bois. I highly recommend and will book again.

A large group of my friends and I stayed throughout the weekend at Ciel et Bois and had a wonderful experience. The drive there was short (only 20-30 minutes from most locations in Ottawa), and the space itself is so beautiful. We all felt very comfortable there and took advantage of all the rooms (especially the spacious kitchen which had everything you can think of)! A friend hosted a yoga session one morning in the studio space, and we spent a great deal of time in the sauna. This was a great pause from city life, and a beautiful staycation.

Love Ciel et Bois! Beautiful property, incredibly well set up for any activity you have planned. Sauna was definitely a highlight! Also super great owners, they were always happy to answer our questions leading up to and during our stay.

We were blown away at the place, the team left us a lovely welcome basket… Did not expect that , and all of the details that make it feel like a home away from home are here. BBQ grill, chefs kitchen. The chill space is incredible, sunny and bright yoga room, the livings room, fire pit, hammocks, pick-nick benches. All just a great place to hang out and the basement is perfect for the kids to have their own space. Could not recommend this more, clean spacious, well decorated, comfy beds. Perfect if you have a couple families, or group of friends that want to get away together. You can all have your own space and still be together. Highly recommend

Took a Wilderness First Responder course with Boreal River there. Absolutely fantastic! Dynamic staff, excellent at delivering the content, cool location for scenarios.

This space is spectacular!!! Rustic wood, a dreamy colour palette, warmth and windows everywhere. It was impossible not to drop in to immediate relaxation upon arriving. In a large space like this you might expect that some areas might be chilly. Not the case! The space was warm. The basement has these amazing mattresses set up like couches with an abundance of pillows so watching a movie is magical. The amenities room is so versatile. We used it for yoga and had the wood stove burning and well as the heated floor running. We spent time journaling in many cozy nooks through out the space. I can't say enough about the coffee corner. I just loved all the details that were added to create a truly welcoming space from start to end. AND come on, what a name! Ciel et Bois

Participated in wilderness first responder course at this location and it is fantastic.
I am a very light sleeper and can be sensitive with sleeping conditions. I had excellent sleeps here as it's a very quiet location and my room was nice and dark. The mattress was very comfy for me and i loved it.
Overall, it's a beautiful spot with lots of rooms for groups, lots of rec space, a beautiful kitchen and lots of deer comfortably roaming the property. highly recommend
