My family of 4 rented kayaks for the day here (2 single and 1 double), and had a great experience all around. It's a small family-run business that provides great service, and the location is beautiful and perfect for getting away from the crowds at more popular destinations nearby. We had limited experience but had no problems navigating and exploring the entire lake, even on a moderately windy day. Part of its shoreline is on National Park land with lots of beautiful areas to stop and take a break, swim, or just relax. If we had more time & energy we would have followed the creek that connects to nearby Cypress Lake, a beautiful lake where we happened to be camping. If you're completely new and not quite so adventurous yet, you can rent for a shorter time and just paddle around the calmest waters close to the cottages. This experience was one of my family's favorites during an 8-day trip through southern Ontario, so I highly recommend!

My husband and I rented a motor boat at Cedar Grove, to go fishing on Cameron lake. The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating!! We will definitely be going back here to do this again!!! Fantastic experience on a beautiful lake.

We stayed here recently for a week and it was amazing. The accommodations were superb value for the week, the kayaking was great and since you're very close to the Bruce Peninsula Provincial Park you have amazing hiking nearby. There's even a kayaking route to the Grotto which we didn't take, but the kayaking in Cameron and Cyprus Lakes (and especially the beautiful creek between) were amazing. The service and staff are great people as well. Book early (3 months+ in advance) to avoid disappointment.

We loved our week at Cedar Grove Cottages! The staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming! It is the perfect place if you want a low key, relaxing atmosphere that is both dog and family friendly. We loved the beach for young kids and the many trails you can take from the cottages for biking and running. Thank you to Jim, Ben and Jane.

My husband and I and our three-year old daughter stayed here for a week at the end of July and we had a wonderful time. The resort is only 10 minutes outside of Tobermory and really close to all the sights like the Grotto, Singing Sands, and the ferry that goes to Flowerpot Island. It's on a very sheltered part of Cameron Lake, so the water was generally calm. The perimeter of the lake is also extremely shallow, which is great for little ones. The resort has a little sandy beach, as well as a playground with swings and a slide. ||We stayed in cabin 3 and it was small, but cozy. Everything is simple, clean and comfortable. The view of the lake from the deck was our favourite thing about the cottage. The new propane BBQ was a bonus.||The property is well-maintained and the owners are very welcoming and hospitable. They even joined us around the nightly campfire.||The other guests were very sociable, so we made a lot of new friends. We hope to be back in the near future!

I've stayed a long weekend at Cedar Grove Cottages the last three years in a row, and I will continue to go at least once a year for the foreseeable future. The atmosphere is amazing, welcoming and friendly. The view is incredible, from sunrise to sunset. It's quiet, relaxing, and outside of the hustle and bustle - and yet it's just minutes from Tobermory, so you can have that too. It's affordable, clean, and the cottages can be chosen to suit. My first year I stayed in cottage 4, which is beyond gorgeous - and huge! The last two years I stayed in cottage 2, which in smaller, but still had everything we needed to be comfortable.||||The property manager was great and the owners are so friendly and welcoming - you feel like part of the family! ||||I could live with views like those and be content for life. I highly recommend a stay at Cedar Grove, whether you're traveling as a couple on a romantic getaway, a family on vacation, or even a group of friends - this place is suitable for whatever you're looking for!

Beautiful place, beautiful host family. I absolutely love it here. Fantastic self contained cottages, very nice beach , canoe and kayak rentals. It has everything you need for a great vacation in one location. Awesome campfire area too! Close to national parks and lots great hiking trails nearby. Tucked away from the chaos of it all!! A hidden gem . I highly recommend!!
