This place is great! Staff is fantastic, I’m not sure about previous guests but safety was Staff’s first concern and they honour rain checks for a year if weather was issue. The canoes are great, the kayaks were fun, and I loved the fact that the washrooms are only for renters use feels extra safe during covid times. Love the resort, makes me want a private trailer there. If your looking for a true outdoor paddle experience this is a great place to book.

Horrible customer service and unwelcoming environment. As a person of colour I felt like I was presumed to not belong there. My male partner and I were escorted off the beach after renting kayaks for the day because they didn’t want us ruining their image. Don’t give your business to this establishment — they hate people of colour and gay people.

Racist and unwelcoming staff, my partner and I wanted to take 5 minutes to rest at the beach after renting kayaks for the day and was escorted like terrorists out before we even got to sit down. I've never experienced a most racist negative incident before this in any of the places I've been in the past. Please take this as a warning before considering their service.

We rented canoes for the day. The female staff were friendly, and the resort was beautiful. That said, there is an unwelcome feeling with all the signs/posters, and even gruff comments from someone we presumed was the owner (I.e. questioning whether we had all actually rented canoes when we had checked in and were just moving our picnic items to the launch area). We get that they were protective of the public using the resort, but it put us all on edge. It's hard to explain, but the vibe is just not welcoming for day use. I don't think I would rent and launch boats from there again. Actual resort guests probably feel better... unless they are treated with suspicion as well.

Let's be serious!! Paddler Safety should be foremost on the Minds of those that Rent out Kayaks. The Kayaks are a cheap Plastic with the Drain Plugs missing on 2 of 3 kayaks that we Rented. At the very least we should have received a Phone Call or a Text to let us know that we would have considerable challenges paddling these Kayaks outside of the Bay that you see from the Office. The Lake outside of the Serene Bay had WhiteCap Waves and even a Boater said that the Waves were really high and that we should use extreme caution. Considering that Two of the Kayakers were novice Kayakers this was a real concern. Also considering that the Main Store / Office is fairly remote needing to have a key for the Washroom is considerably tacky especially when you need to go and have to wait until the Employee comes back from the Beach to get the key. By all means dont plan on using their Beach as its a Private Beach with lots of Rope and signs to make sure you dont use their Beach that is used for the Private use of the Cabin Owners, what a Joke.
