We had a blast on this island! The atmosphere is super relaxed, and there's plenty to do â enjoy dinner by the ocean, go shopping, hiking, golfing, or try kayaking.
Kayaking was a highlight, with calm waters making it easy to paddle around. We even spotted sealions.
The young staff were friendly and helpful, they offer single and double kayaks with steering, and you can rent for 2 or 3 hours, which is plenty of time to explore. This activity is perfect for families, couples, or groups â everyone will have a great time!

We had an amazing experience sea kayaking at the end of April. We had booked a group tour but were lucky enough to be the only couple on it. Steve was an amazing guide and we loved the whole experience. We would highly recommend!

We did the sunset paddle and had a great time. I took my two teenage daughters and it was the highlight of their weekend. Alex was our guide and he was knowledgeable, fun and professional - and watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean from a kayak is something everyone should do once.

I really canât recommend Bowen Island Sea Kayaking enough. We were very fortunate to be the only 2x people that had booked onto a group shoreline tour in early May so ended up with a private tour! Hasan took us out along the coast, pointing out all the wildlife en route and giving us a bit of a history of the island too. We saw bald eagles, sea lions, harbour seals, herons and starfish. Hasan also took lots of photos and videos of us throughout the tour which was a really nice touch (and airdropped them over after!). We had dressed a bit too âsummeryâ and Hasan sorted us out some jackets to make sure we didnât get too cold out on the water. A huge thanks to both Hasan and Steve for a wonderful tour, we had a brilliant time.

We had an amazing sea kayaking tour with Oscar! He was not only knowledgeable about the area but also super friendly and attentive. The trip was well organized, safe, and full of beautiful sights. Oscar made sure everyone was comfortable and had a great time. Highly recommend this tour if you want a fun and memorable kayaking experience!

I had an amazing experience today with my mom (64 y.o.) and two kids (6 and 11 y.o.) all first time kayakers on the 3 hours pm shoreline tour. Thank you Hasan for taking care of all our needs;) We had fantastic time on the water today, kids were quite tired but very thankful for this adventure!

My wife and I just returned from a 3 day guided kayak trip with BISK and we highly recommend them. We had both done a bit of kayaking before but had never done anything as adventurous as a multi-day trip - indeed we hadn't even been camping for over 20 years so we were a bit nervous in the run up to our trip.
Steve put us at ease from the moment we walked through the door of the BISK office at Snug Cove. He explained the choices as to where we would camp based on how far we wanted to go, but there was no pressure to make a hard and fast decision and we were able to take each day of the trip as it came based on what the weather was like and how we were feeling.
Before the trip we had been worried about what the food would be like. We needn't have worried! Steve worked wonders with his portable stoves and cooked up a range of delicious meals, having consulted with us before we went about any likes/dislikes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks along the way were all tasty and satisfying.
We had also been concerned about camping, but once again Steve made the whole experience a breeze. The tent, sleeping bags and sleeping mats were all smart and clean and Steve got everything ready for us. The inflatable sleeping mats were much more comfy than we expected and we both slept well.
We had loads of time on the water. It was great to see the coastline up close and explore parts you could never reach on foot, or on a larger boat. Whilst on the water Steve pointed out wildlife and geographical features of interest and was clearly very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. During our trip we were lucky enough to see humpback whales, as well as harbour seals, a river otter, sea lions, jellyfish, deer and various ducks and birds.
Steve clearly paid careful attention to the weather conditions, other boats and any other potential risks we might have encountered so we always felt safe when on the water, and in camp.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend a multi day tour with BISK.
