Having a quick stop at port early morning since it was 10 minutes’ drive to Val-Jalbert Historical Village and the site was closed. Pretty nice port and park beside that, provided fabulous landscapes over the rocky beach. While driving to get there, also some spot available to stop by @ the lake right beside which was amazing!
That is area need to plan to spend a day or so.

We had a great bear observation trip with Pierre in July 2021. Communication prior travel was always clear and prompt. We were fortunate that it was just the two of us on our trip which gave us a ton of room and lots of privacy. Pierre briefed us about the process prior to going to the observation tower and we felt totally safe. There was attention to little details that make a big difference (e.g. provide us with a mosquito deterrent during the observation). We were fortunate to see 3 bears during our 2h period! Fun experience to see animals in their natural habitat. A bonus thank you to Pierre for the dinner recommendations at Les Draveurs (the Sheppard's pie was indeed delicious!) and the visit to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord on our way to Tadoussac the next day. Highly recommend this company. Un gros merci!!!

Charles is very friendly and works very hard to make everyone comfortable. The cabins are clean and comfortable, his equipment is in good shape and reliable. He made my first trip to lake st Jean for ice fishing a good one. I will return and recommend his services to friends. Oh, and we caught some nice fish too!!

What a great company and service!! We were looking for a unique ice-fishing experience in Lac St Jean, and were extremely satisfied with the services of Aventures Lac Saint-Jean. The owner walked me through the experience over the phone in order to have a good sense of what value for our money we would get, he then called me back the night prior to the experience to share some tips on what to wear/bring, as well as reconfirm together the time/place of rdv. Upon arrival, our guide Jean brought my friends and I on the skidoo in the middle of lac-st jean where we caught fish inside and outside of the cabin. Jean was extremely knowledgeable, and we enjoyed learning from him. We had a blast! It was one of those unique experiences where you create memories. I will definitely be back in summer for the bear observation!
