A friend and I stayed at this campsite last week for three nights in a tent and were very impressed. The campsite is well maintained, small and quiet. The campsite itself was small but the base well prepared for drainage and easy to set up on. At first we were surprised (disappointed) that we could not bring our car to our site but that actually turned into a positive as there was not a movement of cars around the campground constantly. And the car could be parked fairly close. The big bonus was the summer kitchen with fridges, small freezer, stove, BBQ, kettle, taster etc, plus all other basic kitchen equipment. The kitchen shelter and the communal evening fire was a great gathering point. Shower room was great with lots of hot water, the flush toilet and sink with hot water was great too. The only complaint would be that there was only one toilet that often led to a line.||Staff were very friendly, specially Aurelie who was a great source of information on places to visit and even took care of booking our whale watching for us. ||A great visit, highly recommended.

We reserved a place with a fjord view, which was really nice and the option to make a fire with prepared wood was a big plus + lot of blueberries everywhere. We had a light tent, so the 10-15 min hike from parking place was no problem for us, but if you have a big tent with small kids, I would take it into account and maybe stay in the base.
The base has a nice and equiped kitchen and currently only one shower and toilet (but new ones are currently built I think). Structure design is a bit interesting, as it isn't very protected against wind/rain , but maybe there was a different reason for it I didn't notice during our stay. The option to stay in the common place in kitchen was a nice plus.
The staff was extremely nice and spoke english well.

A friend and I stayed at this campsite last week in a tent and were very impressed. The campsite is well maintained, small and quiet. The site itself was small and had no firepit but the base well prepared for drainage and easy to set up on. This is car camping yet you cannot bring your car to your site, however that actually turned into a positive as it meant there was not any movement of cars around the campground (The car could be parked fairly close). The big bonus was the summer kitchen with fridges, small freezer, stove, BBQ, kettle, toaster, coffee makers etc, plus other basic kitchen equipment and basic supplies. The kitchen shelter and the communal firepit was an awesome facility and gathering place, it was easy to meet people here. Shower room and separate toilet and sink were rustic but attractive and clean. Lots of hot water to the excellent shower, the flush toilet and sink with hot water was great too. The only complaint would be that there was only one toilet that often led to a line.
The cliff top sites are good but they are a steep 10-15 minute hike each way and although the view is amazing you would miss out on the kitchen/social facilities of the main camp area.
Staff were very friendly, specially Aurelie who was a great source of information on places to visit and even took care of booking our whale watching for us.
A great visit, highly recommended.

We stayed here just for one night. We've been eaten by the mosquitoes alive despite the fact that we used the anti-mosquitoes products.
This is was my first experience of camping and it was completely ruined.
I asked the staff if there is any time limit to prepare meals in the kitchen, they said it'll be open all day-night long, so after 10 pm we went to prepare the dinner and guess what, the light is off, and we find a hard time to turn it on so we can see what are we doing.
Forget to take a shower or go to the bathroom at night, the light was off. I asked the staff in the morning and they said it's weird.
We tried to reach the top of the mountain and believe me it is definitely not in 10-15min unless you're an athlete or professional, it was very hard and rough. And we didn't even rewarded by the sunset view because it was cloudy.
I wanted to spend the night in the top platform, but it was impossible with a 2 y.o child (not safe).
++++
The only thing that was excellent, was the staff, they were all responsive and gave us a great welcoming, they check on us every time we see each other, most of them are bilingual. So thank you all.

To the owner:
I was excepting such response from you, because i saw how you responded to other negative reviews before.
Know that being sarcastic and irresponsible just means that you can't really handle your business. Especially when having benevolent instead of paid employees. But turn off the light on the premises at night?! That's shows a lot.
Advice: you can take some courses of managment and customer service but i highly doubt that it's going to cure you from greed and rudeness.

We spent a week in Au Sommet du Fjord and tried the auberge as well as the camping. The place is perfectly situated to still to touristy day-trips like e.g. whale watching around Tadoussac but not having to deal with the expensive restaurants and overcrowded beaches of the village. The campsite itself offers a lot of space for outdoor activities like volleyball or other sports. The kitchen is well equipped and a great and cozy outdoor place that makes it easy to connect with fellow campers. The bathrooms are clean and appropriate for a campsite. The auberge has a lovely rustic interior and exterior, you can see that it is a self-made project house that has a lot of good energy and love around it. It is not perfect, but we loved it very much, The owners, Ben and Julie, were super friendly and helpful during our stay. They can recommend places to shop, visit and explain the beautiful hikes around the area. We would especially recommend the viewpoint over the Fjord. It is just AMAZING!

Beautiful, clean and welcoming. We were able to hike up to see the "Belvedere" a beautiful view of the fjord just 10 minutes away. We loved being able to prepare some meals, use the BBQ, the hot tub and sit by the cozy stove and play games. We enjoyed meeting other travelers and sharing stories. Benoit, Julie and other staff were friendly and went out their way to host everyone and meet their needs.

We stayed here for one night. It was not my cup of tea, because I do like some space and privacy, and there was just a bit too little of this. But if you like to meet other travelers, and like a youth hostel/B&B atmosphere, this is a great place to go to. The owner is very welcoming and the house and surroundings are very charming

Great location for camping ! The hostel is really nice and has some history that the owner was happy to tell. The outdoor "summer kitchen" is really convenient to cook and share a meal with others. People working here were great. Amazing experience!
